Monopoly
I was seated in my cubicle in my office. Then KYL came over and stood beside me over to my right, leaning her back against the wall. She was holding a pack of crackers, with 4 little packages stuck together in a grid form. The package was transparent, so I could see those crackers were golden brown in colour. She then proceeds to tell me some stories about herself, while starting to tear off 1 package from the big package of crackers she was holding.
She said, “He was not ready to commit yet.” She threw the little pack into my plastic bag, which was rested on my lap. inside the platic bag, it has similar crackers, but they were all torn into separate little packages already. She proceeds to tear the second pack out of the quadruplet, “I went and add in another foot into his 2-feet world, which was already sufficient for him.” She continues with splitting the rest of the packages. I asked her if she likes him. She exclaimed, “Of course!” Somehow, I did not notice if she was sorrow from the stopping in pursuit or what not.
Suddenly, we were at another place. She was playing Monopoly now, with HL and LGJ. There was another guy, which I could not recognize. HL was seated on her right, while she was seated on the side where the “GO!” starts. Someone took a “Fate” card, which was yellow, read it out loud and said it was an “Out of Jail” card. But he drew 2 cards instead. Hence, he put the other card at the bottom of the “Chance” deck of cards, with letters facing up. I was baffled for a bit but decided to ignore the rule.
Then someone threw a 6, 5 and 4 (I’ve got no idea why were there 3 dice being used instead of 1). I was trying hard to sum the figure, so were them. Then I exclaimed, “It’s 28!” The player started moving his piece without much hesitations, 1 rectangle at a time. I felt that something was wrong with my calculations as I looked into the dice. I tried to recalculate again and told him that it’s actually only “18”. He obliged to it without much protest though (like I’ve said, math just don’t work in dreams).
Then it’s KYL’s turn. She threw a 6 at first. Then I told her, she can throw another time if she gets a “6”. I explained to her, try to get more sixes in order to maximize the number of moves she can get but avoid getting the third “6”. She passed the die to HL for him to throw. Harry was chanting something before throwing the die and he managed to get another “6” for her.
Then she grabbed the die. I reminded her on the third “6” which would cause her penalty. She simply threw it like she was no longer in the mood for the game. It somehow ended up with another “6”, which unfortunately causes her a penalty. Her piece was being transported to the third box after the “GO!”, which was a “Chance” box. She was exempted from collecting $200.
