3-part dream again…

I was at pulau, standing on the beach. My two other brother were with me on the beach as well while Donnie Yen, he came with us, was standing rather far away. We were supposed to be catching some fish for dinner. It was around 5:30pm, the sky was about to get dark. My second brother went to the left side of the beach, why my eldest brother was within close proximity of me over to my right. We get about 4-5 metres of standing space on the beach. I guess it was high tide.

I told my eldest brother, “The water so clear here, unlike back in Malaysia.” I was thinking that we were in Australian’s beach. “I wonder if the water is not salty.” I added. My brother just keep quiet, he probably dumbfounded with my statement. Then suddenly, we have spears in our hand for striking fish. My brother said, Donnie instructed us to catch some fish for dinner. I jokingly said, “We are standing on shallow water, there wouldn’t be any fish around here, so shallow. At most you’ll get about 1-foot long fish.” And again, my brother just kept his silence.

Then suddenly, my brother saw a fish swimming by, he strike and he missed. He did not strike deep enough. The fish was swimming towards my direction. It was white in colour, about 10 inches long, with black spots. I have got no idea if that was edible. Anyhow, I tried my luck on striking the fish but I missed. The fish evaded and swam away. Then suddenly, there were more of the same kind of fish swimming about. I did not do anything as I hesitated if that fish was edible.

After a while, there was a bigger fish, about 1 metre long, was swimming at a moderate pace, from my left towards my right. I thought I could get it, and so I strike. I missed and the fish continued to swim towards my brother’s direction. Before my brother was able to strike the fish, the fish jumped from inside the water toward my brother’s direction. My brother evaded and the fish landed on the sand, quite far away from the water. I was stunned for a while, but happy that we finally “caught” a fish. It has red and while scales. It probably was a red snapper, as I was not familiar with fished type.

Not long after that weird event, Donnie came back to us with a smaller fish, about 2/3 of the snapper we “caught”. It was fully red in colour. I guess it could be a salmon, but already sliced open. Hence I could only see the flesh. My second brother got nothing. Anyhow, we proceed to went up to the hut above us for dinner as the sky was already dark.

The sky was dark and the food was served. I was busy eating and trying to finish my meal. Kelly was seated on my left while Kristy was on my right. Kristy was eating asam laksa. I could not remember what I was having. I told Kristy, “Did you know that, if you try jalapeno with soy sauce on chicken rice, it could be quite nice. It’s also not bad if you put jalapeno into the chicken rice’s chilli sauce?” while I move my little saucer with jalapeno and soy sauce toward Kristy’s bowl. Kristy just responded, “Really?” Kelly interrupted, “You sure or not? Don’t simply mix laaa.” Then Kristy said, “Ok, I’ll try someday,” while smiling sheepishly. I guess she was just “entertaining” me, she would not try it.

After I have finished my dinner, Kristy said she does not want to eat the rest of the kembung fish. She left about 2 halves of a whole fish there. Then I proceed to remove the bones and scrape away the part of the meat nearby the abdomen. As I did it, I said, “This part is really not nice to eat, because the guts and stomach are all here. It tasted foul, so gotta remove them.” It took me a while to get them fixed and then after I have done, I dipped them into my jalapeno soy sauce and eat. It was, tasteless after all. Then Kelly said she does not eat those fish as well, so I have to work my way through her fishes as well. (Oh boy!)

It took me very long to finish them, as her fish was weird, it has two backbones. I remembered removing it once and yet there was another backbone still stuck there. After I just finished, I was sitting in a table surrounded with family members and my aunts. Kelly and Kristy were gone. My mom said, “Let’s get the bill and leave.” My eldest niece, YY, was there walking about. While the elderly was paying the bills, I was staring at the children. I do not know who the rest of the children there were.

Then my younger niece, LY came. She was so excited and making noise. YY was excited as well seeing her cousin there. Then LY ran toward YY’s direction and opening her hands doing a hugging motion, YY was opening her hand ready to invite LY. But I was dumbfounded when LY was not hugging YY but instead the 2 other younger kids behind YY. YY was quiet and dumbfounded as well. She turned around and looked at LY with a smile. I felt a moment of loneliness in her. Luckily, LY proceed to hug her cousin sister after that. And I could not control myself and smile widely.

On another dream, I was seated at a place, with desks, as small as school’s desks. We were formed in 2 columns, with about 4 rows. I was seated on the right column’s second row. They were all my friends, but most of them, I could not recognize them. We were sort of like in a centre where people with different talent works there, with minimum wages (reference to The Four Scholars story.). Alvin was seated behind me. In front of me was a graphics designer, with a sidekick, while another one is a poet. On my left, I could not remember what he does. He was probably a programmer like me.

I have got LingYit sitting diagonally behind me. He was into graphics design, with Flash and Director, as he told me and showed me his portfolio. Somehow, he was jobless there. I knew the person sitting in front of me, diagonally was an artist. He has a sidekick with him as well. So I went over to him and wanted to ask him if he could use a help from another fellow artist. He was busy painting something on a screen. It was Hobbes (from Calvin & Hobbes) and he was trying to make Hobbes more masculine but drawing a wider selection of “running ants” over Hobbes’ arms, piece by piece. Then proceed to paint it, somehow the program was smart enough to trace the edge, hence it gave a comic looks of thick brush over the outline of the character. Hobbes now has a blue skin tones with black spots.

Despite what seemed to be a pretty simple job, I found that, he (now I recognised him as Velan, an old classmate of mine) was doing it as a fairly slow pace. I was thinking to myself, “My sister can do a much better job than him!” His boss was standing there staring at him work, so I did not bug him or commented on him being slow. After his boss left, I asked him if he wanted to get a help. He gave me a cold “no” and the boss overheard. The boss made a commotion on hiring extra people, somehow it pisses me and I assured him that, a graphics designer is utmost important for the needs of his company.

The boss retaliated that, they production needs not many graphics as mostly are text. Then I grabbed the paper (what? It’s now paper, not screen?) that Velan was working on, it was in B&W and another piece of paper with text and asked the rest of the people there (the room was not crowded with more people towards my right of my seating position earlier) whether they would most likely look at which paper, the graphics or the text. A lot of them were dumbfounded, do not know how to answer, but there was a girl noted that, “It’s graphics.” Some people laughed at me. Only then I realised, I was holding 2 pieces of paper with only printed text on it. Somehow, the ignorant boss, managed to slipped the graphics paper off my hand (what a dream!).

I was so mad at him and I told him that, people’s first reactions would be towards graphical printings, pictures, graphs and such. He just gave me a smirk while I was furiously blasting away. Then I told him, “you’ll regret this!” I went back to my place and decided to leave the hellhole. I tried to switch on my notebook, which seemed like 2 pieces of cardboard folded together. I left a message for MsLai, in capitals, “LEAVING COUNTRY.” Then I left the place.

In the third dream, I was standing in an office lot for a demonstration. We were on about 10th floor high, with all around glass windows. There was a lift placed centre of the hall at about 1/3 of the length of the hall. There were no pillars in the hall. The area surrounding the lift was covered in plexiglass. Inside the plexiglass contains many giant sized bacteria. They were purple sphere shaped with tentacles coming out from the body. They were about the size of 2/3 of volleyball. They seemed to be in the state of hibernation or sleeping. On the ceiling, there were splatters of green goos. (with the shape of splattered paint, of course)

The scientist then activated the bacteria. They woke up and were moving in quick succession in random order. Not long after that, the plexiglass cracked and broken into pieces. They escaped the containment. The bacteria were floating and bouncing around the hall randomly like a ball. The people in the hall were panicked but the scientist assured them that there was nothing to be worried about as he has backup plans. He then proceeds to awaken those goos that stuck on the ceiling. Those goos float in the air and chase the bacteria. Each of the goo was stuck to 1 bacterium and brought them back into the containment. While they were on the pursuit, the scientist activated the force field around the lift around to replace the plexiglass. (The force field was in light purple glow)

After all the bacteria were brought back to the containment, the effects on the goos wears off and the bacteria starts to move around violently again, trying to break free from the containment area. Luckily, the force field holds them much better than the plexiglass. The scientist then ends the demonstration by sending the bacteria into hibernation mode. Someone, some of the bacteria slipped through into the shaft of the lift and remained active. Then we noticed that someone was taking the lift up. I was worried that the bacteria might do hard to the person in the lift.

That was bizarre! No wonder I woke up with headaches, twice! Even now as I was typing, I’m still getting mild headache on my right temple. :(

Most of the things that happened in the dream was related to the recent even, such as the red salmon caught by Donnie was related to the sashimi salmon that I had for lunch yesterday. The beach looked like Pulau Aur’s beach, except it was much more cleaner on the seabed than the one in Pulau Aur. Kelly was still the same person, compared to reality, PITA. (lol)
